In 2010 there were 435 participants between all events, we created new relationships, heard many inspirational stories, awarded two $1,000 college scholarships, left more motivated, and raised $8,000!

Why: Our goal for the Fox CHASE AWAY CANCER Event is to provide a one day celebration and recognition of Fox Chase Cancer Center employees who continually fight cancer every single day for us and our families and those who have been or are currently being treated at Fox Chase. We invite and welcome all FCCC employees, former and current patients of FCCC, and the surrounding community to join us in this one day celebration so we may feel the power, courage, and human spirit that has moved those affected by cancer to continually fight for their life. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring anyone who has joined you in the fight against cancer. We are in this together and it is time to CHASE AWAY CANCER for good! Read More!
Proceeds: Benefiting Fox Chase Cancer Center patients and the HCM Foundation College Scholarship Program.
HCM College Scholarship: The purpose of the HCM Foundation College Scholarship Program is to assist high school students who have been significantly impacted by cancer and/or wish to pursue a career in a cancer related field. In 2010, HCM Foundation selected Erica Lalli and Kathryn Hannah . We used a portion of the Fox CHASE AWAY CANCER Event proceeds to fund these two $1,000 scholarships and thank all the participants for contributing! To read more on their stories, click here.
Results: Timed results will be provided by www.pretzelcitysports.com. Results will be posted on www.pretzelcitysports.com within 48 hours after the race.
Course: An accurate slightly rolling but fast course starting at Saint Basil Academy and running through the Jenkintown neighborhood across from Alverthorpe Park. Once you come back out of the neighborhood you will re-enter Saint Basil Academy for a track finish! Run Course Map. Walk Course Map.
