Board of Directors
Mike Marsteller, President
As the founder of HCM Foundation, Mike is passionate about helping those afflicted with cancer. A 2005 graduate of Slippery Rock University, Mike has worked in corporate wellness, commercial fitness, and as Director of Operations of Elite Bicycles, Inc.
“Ever since I was 10 years old I wished there was something I could do for people afflicted with cancer. When my Dad passed of colon cancer, I was so young that I never had the chance to properly understand it. It has taught me a lot about myself and other people. Through the foundation I am able to put my learning experiences to good use and help others. As HCM Foundation unfolds, it will be a great thing for everyone involved including those who receive help and those who donate help. I am truly blessed to be in the presence of those around me. If it were not for them, HCM would not be here.”
A veteran entrepreneur, Paul currently works as an Employee Benefit Specialist. His business experience and active lifestyle competing in triathlons and race directing, he brings much wisdom to HCM.
“The reason I want to be involved in the HCM Foundation is because I have been blessed in my life by people that have provided support and have helped steer me in the right direction and given back to me in ways that are impossible to repay. I would like to do the same for others through the HCM Foundation. HCM will allow us to directly impact the children and family members that have been touched by cancer by providing them support. Everyone needs a support system, especially in tough times.”

“I want to be a part of HCM because of the impact cancer has on the patient and how dramatically it impacts family members as well. I have witnessed and been touched personally by cancer over the years and HCM's "grass roots" approach will have an immediate impact on the quality of life of so many families within our community! Although research is utmost important to battle this disease, families need help now, while research continues. I believe fully in the HCM mission because it provides this type of support and impact as well as supports a more physically fit community!”

"There is so much negativity in this world, so much grief and pain. Both my family and my brother’s family have been affected by cancer and the loss of loved ones. The HCM Foundation allows me to use my love of training and racing to do more than honor our loved ones, I can personally be involved with being a positive impact on a local family that is afflicted with cancer."

Alex is the owner and works at Peak Fitness Company. He brings much enthusiasm and hard work to HCM!
"I have watched family members battle cancer (most recently my wife with Thyroid Cancer this year) for my entire life. I have also worked, and am currently working, with clients in my facility that have gone through battles with the disease. HCM Foundation provides me with the opportunity to make a difference and to take an active part in that battle. To participate and play an important role in an organization that takes a ground level approach towards helping those in need, shows sincerity and passion in its mission, is an opportunity I am fortunate to have. I have tried since becoming a fitness professional in 1993 to spread the benefits of the fitness lifestyle with vigor and dedication. I will do the same with and for the Foundation."

Craig is the owner and head coach of Endurance Multisport. He brings his passion for helping others to HCM Foundation.
“Cancer affects practically every human being, directly or indirectly, at some point in life. As a child, I witnessed my mother wage a successful, recurring battle with melanoma. As a young adult, I watched helplessly as she struggled through chemo treatment and eventually lost her war with lymphatic cancer. My association with the HCM Foundation now gives me the ability to help others cope with their own personal experience with the disease. HCM Foundation is unique because it allows donors to become part of the personal support system for local cancer patients and their families. I am delighted to be involved with this very worthwhile, heartfelt effort.”
